Shopify merchants can leverage the Youtube platform to sell their products in three ways.
- Store Tab: Shopify merchants will have a new tab added to their Youtube channels that will display their selection of products.
- Live Streams: During live streams, merchants can now tag and pin products, while the picture-in-picture functionality will enable users to watch while browsing.
- Videos: Below the on-demand videos, merchants now show a curated list of products.
Also, all the product details such as images, shipping, and pricing will be kept up to date so that when the product sells out, it automatically gets removed from Youtube.
Apart from that, merchants will have the ability to track the performance of on-demand videos and live streams directly from the Shopify admin.
